Als breites Bündnis von Unternehmen und Verbänden aus der Branche der Erneuerbaren Energien setzt sich die Initiative Klimabetrug Stoppen geschlossen für die Aufklärung von sowie den Umgang mit mutmaßlichen Betrugsfällen und fragwürdigen Geschäftspraktiken im Kontext der Treibhausgasminderungsquote (THG-Quote) ein. Konkret geht es um den mutmaßlichen Betrug mit Nachweisen über Upstream-Emissions-Reduktionen (UER) aus gefälschten Projekten und vermutlich fälschlich als fortschrittschlich deklarierte Biokraftstoffimporte.
